Why we built a free Instagram downloader, and how it works under the hood.
What InstaLoadr does
InstaLoadr is a free, browser-based Instagram downloader for saving public content — Reels, Stories, Videos, Photos, Audio, and Profile Pictures — in their original quality. Paste a public post link, and InstaLoadr finds every photo or video inside it and gets it ready to save, with no login and no watermark.
Why we built it
Instagram doesn't give visitors a built-in way to save someone else's public post, even when they have every right to keep a copy — their own repost, a client's content, or something a creator has explicitly shared for reuse. InstaLoadr fills that gap with a single paste box, instead of a screenshot that crops and recompresses the file.
How it works
You paste a link to a public Instagram post, Reel, Story, or profile. InstaLoadr resolves the direct media file Instagram is already hosting and lists every item it finds, each with its own download button. Carousels get a "Download all as .zip" option so a multi-photo post doesn't mean ten separate taps.
What we don't do
InstaLoadr doesn't ask for your Instagram username or password, doesn't require an account, and doesn't store copies of downloaded media on our servers.
